Joel Stopka currently works as a Supervisory Attorney at the Foreclosure Advice Desk. Joel has litigated positive outcomes for clients facing homelessness and eviction and has advised over 4,000 pro se litigants with active foreclosure cases in the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Joel previously worked as a Field Organizer for Organizing For Action and, prior to attending law school, was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Honduras. Joel is a graduate of The John Marshall Law School and has been licensed in Illinois since 2005. Joel is fluent in Spanish.
