A Justice Social 2021

On November 4, 2021, GCLC hosted the annual A Justice Social 2021. This year was particularly special as we were celebrating the Clinic’s 40th anniversary. Thank you to all who made the event a huge success!

Thank you to everyone who made A Justice Social 2021 a huge success!

This year, A Justice Social 2021 was held virtually, on November 4th. While we continue to miss seeing all of our friends and supporters in person, we are grateful for the opportunity to hold the event in a safe and accessible way.

As Greater Chicago Legal Clinic celebrates our 40th anniversary and looks towards the future of continued justice and advocacy, we are energized and grateful. GCLC provides essential legal services for our neighbors and community members who would otherwise be unrepresented. We understand that the justice system is complex, and we work to ensure that everyone has equal access to justice – regardless of income or background.

Our work would not be possible without the generous support of our allies and partners. Thank you. With your support we raised over $150,000 and surpassed our fundraising goal – funds that will go towards serving the Chicagoland community.

Additionally, A Justice Social is an opportunity to honor people and organizations who demonstrate a steadfast commitment to community engagement and pro bono service. This year we were fortunate to recognize GCLC’s outgoing President of the Board of Directors Sharon Hwang, and her company McAndrews, Held, & Malloy, along with Ben Weinberg and his firm Dentons, King & Spalding, and GCLC’s own Director of Operations Ariel Valdes. To learn more about each of these honorees visit our A Justice Social 2021 webpage.

Another added bonus of the event’s virtual format is that it is now available to stream online! Check out the Clinic’s YouTube page to watch now.
