Robert Tucker, Vice President of Operations

Bob is Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Programs for the Chicago Community Loan Fund (CCLF). He leads internal operations and provides strategic leadership to ensure that CCLF executes its business plan and fulfills its mission to provide flexible, affordable, and responsible financing and technical assistance for community stabilization efforts and initiatives that benefit low- to moderate-income neighborhoods. Prior to joining CCLF in 2015, Bob was the Corporate General Counsel for Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago (NHS). Before NHS, he was a Partner at Chapman and Cutler LLP, where he started his career out of law school in 1992. Bob was elected twice to serve as a Village Trustee on the Village Board of Oak Park from 2011-2019. He has a JD from the University of Wisconsin Law School in Madison and a BA in political science and Philosophy from Emory University in Atlanta.

Bob believes in the importance of working with those who fight to bring needed resources to the underserved and long-neglected neighborhoods; GCLC couldn’t be a better fit.

For fun, Bob has written restaurant reviews and chef profiles for many years for the Chicago Sun-Times and Pioneer Press, and he enjoys cooking a great deal too.
