Katie Jackson, Communications and Outreach Coordinator

Katie graduated cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis in 2021 where she received her B.A in psychology and education. Before joining the Clinic, she interned at a variety of non-profit organizations centered around community engagement and justice. At ArchCity Defenders, a legal advocacy organization based in St. Louis, Katie helped advocate for inmates' constitutional rights. While studying in Australia, she worked at ActionAid Australia, gaining development experience and exposure to international humanitarian issues. While she loved her time and experiences in St. Louis and beyond, Katie is excited to return to Chicago where she grew up and now lives with her family.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys baking, rollerblading or running outside, and doing crosswords.
